Dr. Park's Background
Sangtae Park, M.D., M.P.H. is the Chief of Minimally Invasive Urology (Single Port Surgery) and is the Urologic Expert in the Minimally Invasive Surgical Training and Innovation Lab (MISTI) in the Department of Surgery at NorthShore University HealthSystem. His research and clinical interests include single port laparoscopic surgery, natural orifice (NOTES) urological surgery and robotic urological surgery. He uses these modalities to treat kidney, bladder, prostate cancers and benign conditions and is actively pursuing research to improve patient outcomes and surgical quality. Dr. Park is widely published in the medical literature, and serves on the review committee and editorial board of several leading urology journals. He has held professorships at distinguished medical centers such as the University of Washington, University of Chicago and served as a visiting professor at University of California, San Francisco, the Korean Urological Association and Interlaken, Switzerland.
