If can actually get in for an appointment (they schedule very far out), Dr. Koval is extremely knowledgeable and good about following up. He does generally require subsequent appointments to be with his physician’s assistant, rather than himself. When I went in for a follow-up appointment, I requested to see him, rather than an assistant, as I was moving out of the area. He agreed, and although I had to wait somewhat longer in the exam room, he took his time with me, examined me, and answered all my questions…including a referral for another rheumatologist in my new city. I would definitely recommend Dr. Koval.
