I have been seeing the nurse practitioner for Dr. Coffin, but when I called to make an appointment today for a needed referral (needed because I have an HMO), Dr. Coffin had a cancellation, so I saw him instead. I usually like seeing nurse practitioners over doctors, but it was such a pleasure to meet him today. I needed to get a second opinion from another orthopedic doc after having knee surgery six months ago. I was afraid that Dr. Coffin would be like my current knee surgeon and not listen, but I received quite the opposite response. Dr. Coffin was attentive and helpful and made me feel heard. He also made sure that I got an x-ray before leaving the office to jumpstart the process. I will gladly take an appointment with Dr. Coffin when needed in the future!
