Patient Reviews
Sep 29, 2023
I had a L1 burst fracture at 50 years old was 1-2mm away from being paralyzed. Dr. Lee performed a 6 level spinal fusion (3 above and 2 below the burst vertebrae.) The first 2-3 weeks of recovery was VERY rough. Then it took almost 2 years to be fully recovered. But now I am doing almost everything I did before (hiking, yoga, cycling, skiing) and I am relatively pain free and beyond grateful!! I'm just careful about bending or twisting particular ways and I limit prolonged high impact. I did not find him warm and fuzzy and felt like I needed to be very organized with my questions, because he seemed to grow impatient if I had too many, or asked a question that he found unnecessary. Although that was more post-op. Pre-op he was patient in answering questions, but he did not offer much explanation on what to expect post-surgery. Maybe he just knew I needed the surgery and that too much info on recovery was not going to help. Thank you, Dr. Lee for your gifted hands and mind.
