I was married with a toddler son and was relatively young, perhaps only 5 or so years younger than he which made me totally at ease when voicing my personal private concerns that an older doctor might not have understood with compassion and with no overt judgement. That was in 1974, and I am now 75 and am eternally grateful for his provided service that allowed my family and career to progress in a positive manner. He was totally professional, fully explained my treatment without relying on medical jargon, and was there in the moment of my distress.
