Dr. Tawfik is kind, smart, easy to talk to, and funny. His sense of humor helped ease the stress I was feeling due to the development of severe asthma that had led to hospitalizations.He never dismissed me when I shared some previous negative experiences. He is highly respectful of his staff. Dr. Tawfik remarked that his nurses were amazing, and that he would not be able to do his job without them. He was extremely thorough in his evaluation. He ordered testing that I had not previously had done. Dr. Tawfik explained to me why there are sometimes contradictions with patient assessment and testing. It was extremely helpful for me to know. No one had ever taken the time to do that before. I had seen a different pulmonologist following a hospitalization for acute respiratory failure. He was not nearly as thorough as Dr. Tawfik. My symptoms improved significantly after seeing Dr. Tawfik. I cannot recommend him highly enough!
