Long time patient who just had full knee replacement surgery after cartiledge out 55 years ago. Dr. Smith has said for the last 3-4 years I could do the replacement "when I felt it was the right time.". He encouraged me not to wait too long in order to have the full benefit of a healthy knee. The surgery went well, and I am early into PT at Twin Cities Orthopedic. So far everything is progressing extremely well. I'm glad I made the surgical decision at 73 and am looking forward to being more active.
