This was my first time meeting Dr. Melo. He fully answered all my questions regarding my hernia condition and clearly described the procedure for surgery and the options. I was especially happy that Dr. Melo wanted to check a previous groin injury that had not healed after more than a year, to see if there may be a hernia in that area as well, and that if so he would repair it after doing the umbilical hernia. I had intended to ask him about the groin pain, so I was grateful that he discussed that with me. Dr. Melo also explained what to expect regarding scheduling my surgery. I am confident that I will receive excellent care in the hands of Dr. Melo. I am happy I chose him to be my surgeon.
