Bio

Neal E. Rakov, M.D., is a gastroenterologist and a member of Baptist Health Medical Group, an organization of more than 180 physicians in multiple specialties closely aligned with Baptist Health South Florida. He specializes in diagnosing and treating a variety of illnesses and disorders, including celiac and Crohn's disease, colitis, inflammatory bowel disease, gastric ulcers and heartburn. He sees patients in the Florida Keys. Dr. Rakov received his undergraduate degree from the Albert Einstein College of Medicine of Yeshiva University. He completed an internship and residency at Los Angeles County University of California Medical Center and a fellowship at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center. He was among the first group of Fellows ever named by the American Gastroenterological Association. Dr. Rakov is Board-certified in internal medicine and gastroenterology. Recently he rode his bike more than 3,300 miles across the country, from California to Florida, to raise money and awareness for liver disease.
