I am writing to express my gratitude to Dr. Neal Patel for the successful L4-5 fusion on 6/29/21. My surgery was necessary due to pain caused by a defective disc and the need to remove associated disc debris from my spinal column. I’m now 65. I see lots of reviews that patients write soon after surgery but I decided to wait two years because I kept hearing about how bad things would eventually get for me from non-clinical folks. I am happy to say such conclusions weren’t and continue not to be my experience. I am now able to do all the activities I love, including golfing, weightlifting, swimming, traveling and walking. My recovery from surgery was not too hard. I was very impressed with Dr. Patel’s professionalism and expertise. He took the time to explain my condition in detail and answer all of my questions. He also made me feel very comfortable throughout the entire process. Also a huge shout-out to to Dr. Patel’s staff, especially Heidi Schelstraete. Thank you all so much.
