Dr. Ikbal delivered my second child via C-section. She also performed by hysterectomy a few years later following a diagnosis of adenomyosis. She did a great job both times with no complications and rapid healthy recovery. I am a medical scientist myself and I had a lot of questions going into the hysterectomy. Many doctors don't like to be questioned and can become defensive. Dr. Ikbal is different. She took time to think about my questions and really listened to my perspective. I thought about seeking treatment at an academic medical center but ultimately decided that I preferred having someone who knew me and understood my medical history. It was a good decision.
