I have been seeing Dr. Markova weekly for 1.5 years. When I first started seeing her I was really depressed- struggling with loneliness, weight issues (binging/purging), and poor work performance. She was extremely kind, patient, and empathetic. She made me feel safe in talking about my vulnerable experiences. She helped with my loneliness by motivating me to build a community of people around me. Regarding the weight issues, we made goals and really found the root of the issue. In terms of work performance, combating my loneliness and weight issues inherently improved my work performance; also she helped me realize why I love my career. Also, she has been extremely valuable in helping me with romantic relationships. I was in two very tumultuous relationships (one after the other) and she was constantly supporting me through this intense time. She helped me build self esteem and strength to confidently leave the very toxic relationships. I would highly recommend her!!! She is awesome!
