I love Dr. Smith! I could not have had a better physician. I was so afraid of surgery. I just had had a cholescystectomy in New Jersey. That surgeon in NJ left a stone in my common bile duct after removing my gall bladder full of stones. That surgeon in NJ made me feel like I was crazy for calling him post op that I still had the same pain prior to surgery just to a lesser degree. So I went to Dr. Smith. He set me up for surgery to remove the stone that he found left from the other doctor in my common bile duct. I was so frightened. I was scared of anesthesia and surgery again. He said, “Anne, I will personally carry you out if you change your mind at the last minute. Then he handled the nurses trying to change the protocol he had designed for me. He was my hero. I couldn’t have asked for a better physician. This was over twenty years ago and I remember his impact on me. Dr. Smith, I will always be, your grateful advocate patient. Warm Regards, Anne E.
