When I met him at Portland Adventist Cardiology department, in January of 2022, I had very recently suffered two heart attacks which were mitigated just hours apart through stenting and I had on several occasions over the next several weeks, been admitted for observation following lab results which included a specific protein in my blood which caused everyone to get all excited. I dont recall the name. However, Dr. Kilbourne presented as somewhat tired, maybe even exhausted. He reviewed my medical file and history openly with my wife and I, he appeared confident that he would bring about the necessary alterations to my heart function which would result in the most positive outcome I could hope for. he promised me nothing. He told me of my declining circumstances and, if I agreed to allow him to proceed and he found what he expected he would find, and if successful it would add 20 - 25 years to my life. Two years post-op now and 100% better. An excellent surgeon. I was lucky.
