Dr. Decker did a great job as a surgeon and diagnostician with a complex two stage revision caused by an infection that I got from a hip replacement at Lovelace from another surgeon. He as adept at ordering the appropriately diagnostic tests that the other surgeon neglected to order to confirm the lingering infection. He was also much better at collaborating with Infectious Disease on coordinated approach to care which is critical in these situations. I would definetly recommend UNM/Sandoval over Lovelace for appropriate aftercare and treatment of infections. Also the overall hospital environment was much better than Lovelace downtown.
