You know Dr. Young is amazing because all the OTHER doctors in town send their patients to him. He is brilliant -- as a doctor, as a diagnostician, as an amazing listener, and the nicest guy in the world with the best bedside manner. One reason he is so much better than everyone else is because he is a solo practicitioner with some NPs and PAs. He monitors their work closely and thus you still get his skills. There are only a very few doctors with the energy and ambition to run their own practice, but he does it because he wants to give you GOOD medical care, not the junk enterprise medicine being practiced at the big med orgs, where the many, many ridiculous restrictions keep drs from practicing good medicine. And yes, sometimes faxes go astray in a solo office. These things happen when someone is trying to be all things to all people, but wouldn't you rather be ALIVE? He has saved my life TWICE. My BF did not go to him and he was not so lucky. DR YOUNG IS THE BEST.
