I have to specialists that I was seeing. Two great doctors that I've known for several years. I had a PPO before and am now under an HMO. Laid off, had to get new insurance, you know how that goes. I have been fighting with my insurance provider for continuity of coverage. They denied me because... *sigh* I had an opportunity to continue coverage under COBRA, albeit at a higher expensive cost.So basically, I can't continue to see my specialists without a referral. Some tears later, I visited my PCP, Loghman Abdian and asked him for the referrals. I've never met Dr. Abdian or his team. In my opinion, the intake process is a little dated, but I'm also very hands on with my healthcare. I believe it's important to advocate for yourself and get copies of EVERYTHING. So I do. The interaction with Dr. Abdian was very brief and I'm currently waiting on my referrals.
