Dr. Nowak's Background


Lisa Nowak, MD, is a board-certified vascular and general surgeon with the Vascular Institute of the Rockies in Denver, Colorado. She also has extensive experience as a trauma surgeon, and works with the Institute for Limb Preservation at Presbyterian/St. Luke's Medical Center, providing vascular surgery services for patients with threatened limbs whether from tumor, infection, or ischemia. She is also a fellow of the American College of Surgeons. Dr. Nowak earned her medical degree from the University of Iowa Carver College of Medicine. She completed a surgical residency at The University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City, and a surgical residency at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. She also completed advanced fellowship training in peripheral vascular surgery at The University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics.
