Patient Reviews
Apr 20, 2023
I had moved to Austin in mid-2013 and needed a psychiatrist. She was the only doctor that returned my calls. She has a psychoanalytic-type practice and works evening hours; this happened to work well for me. Granted, it might not work for everyone. I thought that she listened well and tried to get to know me. Her manner is somewhat unconventional but it was right for me - I found her to be caring and genuine. If I had any issue, she would return my calls in a reasonable timeframe; furthermore, I developed a neurologic disease while in Texas and she took considerable time to call my family back on the East Coast and explain things to them while I was hospitalized. I eventually moved back home, but for a veritable stranger in Texas, she did all I could reasonably expect as a physician. Psychiatrists are personal choices and I can only remark on my experiences with her, but this is my honest appraisal. I hope it helps.

Board Certifications
What’s a board certification and why is it important that my provider has one?

A board certification represents a provider’s dedication to ongoing training in one or more specialties, including the completion of intensive exams. While not all specialties have board certifications, if your provider does have one they’ve taken the extra step to master their specialty and to keep up with the latest advancements in their field.
