Dr. Ma has been my UCSD GP doctor for over 3 years. I typically have just gone for the usual check ups and annual visits. However I recently had a major ankle fracture that resulted in 5 hours of complicated surgery. I reached out to Dr. Ma for help for his thoughts on my mental health after having panic attacks and insecurity post surgery. He took all I said seriously and brought me in for an appointment as soon as he could. Asks me questions, does not preach or talk down ever. He is genuinely interested in my care and wants me to be successful in recovery. He follows up with me and is on my path WITH me during my recovery. He is my partner in health. Best doctor I have ever had.
