I was seen by Dr. Reece in March 2023 about 7PM at St Lukes Emergency room. Dr Reece observed my very swollen & very sore foot & ankle upon which he ordered an e xray and proposed extracting fluid from my foot. X rays were taken and the fluid extraction he cancelled. Upon reading the x ray, he concluded that my ankle was fractured and had my foot placed into a boot. I was then given a Rx for HYDROcodone-acetaminophen for the pain. I was then given a discharge referral to a orthopedic surgeon trained in shoulder & elbow surgery. I saw my GP the following morning who reviewd the x ray and decided that the fracture was a very old fracture ( maybe 20 yrs or more ago) which I confirmed most likey was the case. A MRI was ordered and performed the following day. Those results confermed that I had no recent fracture by a Dr at the Foot & Ankle Institue, but rather signs of gout. After the extraction of fluids from my ankle it was confermed thru lab tests that infact I had a caseof Pseudogot
