It's actually been a very long time since I've seen Dr. McGeehan, but my long lasting impression is that he is thorough and practical. In 2012 I had a seizure after being instructed to stop taking a benzo by a pcp in Warsaw, and full transparency - I went to a Dr in Rochester first because I heard that Dr. M would say no driving for 6 months, whereas the one in Rochester would only say 4 weeks. That doctor was very bizarre and had me do two at home 4 day EEG studies, both of which he claimed to have seen multiple seizures on (although I had no idea). I switched to Dr. M after the 6 month window and he performed an in hospital study to induce a seizure after weening off meds - no seizure activity. Later he let me know that the hospital had tried to switch to the software the original doctor was using and it was showing multiple false positives. So he was able to confirm my original suspicions about the tests that the first doctor performed - that they were bogus.
