MY DOCTOR IN SAN ANTONIO HAD MET HIM ON A DOCTORS BLOG...AT THE TIME, I WAS IN TRULY SERIOUS CONDITION FROM MY GASTROPARESIS AS WELL AS A MASSIVE BEZOAR WHICH CAUSED ME TO LOSE OVER 2/3RDS OF MY STOMACH...MY DOCTOR HERE HAD RUN OUT OF OPTIONS SO I WAS TRANSPORTED BY AMBULANCE TO UNIVERSITY HOSPITAL AND IT WAS THERE THAT I WAS FIRST SEEN BY DR. VAN SICKLE...I TRULY DO NOT EVEN REMEMBER THOSE 13 PLUS DAYS IN THE HOSPITAL THERE BUT HE LITERALLY SAVED MY LIFE AND WHEN I WAS TRANSFERRED TO PAM, THEN WARM SPRINGS, THEN THE ENCLAVE AFTER LEAVING UNIVERSITY, I CONTINUED TO BE SEEN BY HIM IN HIS OFFICE... THIS IS A MAN THAT QUITE LITERALLY SAVED MY LIFE....HE ALWAYS TOOK TIME WITH ME.... NEVER ONCE FAILED TO EXPLAIN THINGS TO ME...TRULY GAVE ME THE ENCOURAGEMENT TO GET THRU THE REST OF MY ORDEAL, SO YES, I TRULY FEEL I OWE HIM SO MUCH MORE THAN JUST KIND WORDS...I DIDN'T KNOW IF I WAS GOING TO SEE 69, BUT I DID... Board Certifications
What’s a board certification and why is it important that my provider has one?

A board certification represents a provider’s dedication to ongoing training in one or more specialties, including the completion of intensive exams. While not all specialties have board certifications, if your provider does have one they’ve taken the extra step to master their specialty and to keep up with the latest advancements in their field.
