Seven years ago I was referred to Dr. Joel because of countless surgeries from years of athletics and a traumatic injury resulting in severed nerves, and significant paralysis to my arm, shoulder, and upper back. Dr. Joel listened patiently to my history. He discussed options and alternative treatments. There are never promises other than his best effort. His knowledge and attention to detail are remarkable. He has done multiple procedures that have provided significant relief. Dr. Joel suggested a medical implant that changed my life. He reviews everything and is thorough in following up on my health, previous treatment/ procedures, and medications. He always asks if there is anything else we need to address. What cannot be measured is how much Dr. Joel cares about me, not just as a patient, but as a person. The Office Staff and Team of the Pain Center are First Class. I've seen Top Specialists in Ortho & Neuro-Surgery and the Mayo Clinic. Dr. Joel's treatment tops them all.
