Was referred to Dr. Patel for a Bronchoscopy & biopsy. Contrary to what the previous reviewer said, the doctor took well over half an hour explaining the procedure and answering all my questions. On the day of the procedure everything went well, the biopsy was negative, & the post-op instructions clear and concise. Unfortunately, four nights after the procedure I began bleeding in that lung and went to my local hospital's emergency room. They didn't have a lung specialist so they called Dr. Patel. After talking to the ER doctor, he called me twice to get a clear picture of the problem and told me to get back to his hospital if bleeding continued. It did, so he met my wife and I at CRMC's ER and immediately set up an OR to inspect the problem. By this time the bleeding stopped but Dr. Patel repeated the Bronchoscopy twice and came back 3 or 4 times while I was in the hospital. He called my wife or myself over 10 times to insure the problem was contained. Excellent patient care!
