I am new to the area and first went to Providence for chest and lung pain. I have recurring sinus infections and severe asthma. I had been battling reoccurring common colds for the past 6 weeks. Providence told me that evidence-based practices say I need cough suppressant and over the counter meds unless it continues. When I went to Exer, Dr. Macintyre heard my tight chest which doctor's usually dong' catch, ordered xray, breathing treatment, and tested me for viral/bacterial infections. I tested positive for viral & bacterial - common cold & Klebsiella pneumoniae. Right now I am fighting viral & bacterial again - flu & moraxella carrhalis - and have been to 2 urgent care docs, and neither of them prescribed any of the treatments that Dr. Macintyre did. She is truly amazing and a life saver. I wish I knew her schedule so I could go to her right now.
