I felt my aortic valve pop, followed by a big gush of blood in my chest when my dissected Aortic aneurysm blew.I was rushed from Silverton Hospital to Salem Hospital.12 1/2 hr surgery, 6 1/2 hr bypass.Dacron conduit for an aorta, with bi-leaflet aortic valve sewn in.10 drips upon arrival in the ICU.5 weeks later I was transferred out of the ICU after ARDS multiple other problems. 15 weeks total to get home. Dr. Engstad saved my life. He may be surprised I'm still here 11 years later. I'm very happy to be alive. He deserves a 5+++
