I’m a very athletic 60 and was suffering from chronic sciatica to the point I was walking with a cane. I was referred to Atlantic Spine and Brain by my pain management clinician and met Dr Cappuzzo there. He, ultimately did my L5S1 fusion surgery. Dr Cappuzzo is an affable and humble guy. His credentials are impeccable. His demeanor gave me confidence. He was informative and answered all my question in a way I could understand. Moreover and most importantly, he did a great job on my back. His recovery philosophy was If it hurts don’t do it, no other limitations. He assured me I wouldn’t be limited once fully recovered. My sciatica was completely gone immediately after the surgery. At four and a half months I’m 90 percent recovered and expect to be fully recovered by 6. Prognosis for complete recovery was 6 months to year. Post op recovery is an unpleasant, painful, ordeal but I saw continuous improvement after three weeks. I highly recommend Dr Cappuzzo for spinal surgery.
