Dr. Tenore is a good listener. Her attentiveness conveys her confidence in me as a patient, which makes me feel well supported. Good listeners also tend to make suggestions. During medical consultations today, doctors glance at patients from a silence that feels judgmental. It is absolutely refreshing and fun to be part of an intelligent doctor/patient conversation and to walk out with all questions answered. Hers is a level of responsiveness that satisfies my curious brain and keeps me coming back, quarterly, for more. I am a sixty year old, long-time distance runner who had a big heart attack while running during a January blizzard, back at age 49. I have always taken my health and well being very seriously. And, while compliance certainly gets harder as we age, I have not ditched the mainstream entirely; as, my cardiologist also rocks. Why camp out in tired local waiting rooms to enable check box doctors to keep the defensive medicine jig going? Authentic, unafraid, and brilliant.
