Dr. Hollinger put my left leg back together after my motorcycle accident in 1982, at the corner of Eubank and Central. A left-turning car didn't see me. Good thing my sister-in-law, Mary Baran, worked at Presbyterian ER and got me "the best orthopod you can find in Albuquerque". She was right. Dr. Hollinger is as good as they get. My internist, Dr. Chongsiriwatana was also top-drawer. Every day when I shower, I silently thank Dr. Hollinger that I don't have a hunk of maple hanging there instead of my real leg. At one point, since I had a nasty staph infection in my tibia, it was beginning to look like it would have to come off. But after numerous debridements, bone grafts from both hips, and a total of about 8 surgeries, my leg was saved. Thank you Doctor Hollinger! You're as good as they get.
