I was admitted to the ER at St. Luke's hospital on 9-30-17 with a high 103 fever and low blood pressure due to complications from portal hypertension with esophageal varices. In the ER my condition deteriorated and I crashed with blood pressure going to 70/30. Dr. John Tully arrived, evaluated the situation and performed an emergency insertion of a central venous catheter in my upper chest in order to be able to deliver meds by IV. The procedure worked and I stabilized and then subsequently recovered in ICU. Dr. Tully knew exactly what to do and acted swiftly. He probably saved my life. I remember him telling me what he was going to do and his demeanor was excellent for an ER doctor. I highly recommend Dr. Tully to all patients considering seeing him.
