After I was diagnosed with AFIB, my cardiologist put me on a blood thinner. I was determined to get off that drug, and so I was referred to Dr. John Bibawy, an electrophysiologist. He explained that there is a procedure called cardiac ablation that could diminish or eliminate my AFIB symptoms. The procedure was performed soon after, and I am pleased to report that 8 months later there is no evidence of AFIB, and I am no longer on the blood thinner. In addition to being a great doctor and surgeon, he genuinely is one of nicest people you will ever meet!!
