I had Roen Y gastric bypass in 2006 with Dr. Rodriguez, in Feb or 2007 i obtained perforations in my pouch and bowels and got sepsis and almost died. Dr. Rodriquez saved my life I was stuck on a feeding tube for 3 months but I was ambulanced to Scott and White where he performed emergency surgery and I was in the ICU. If it had not been for him I would be dead. I wish I could return and have my bypass redone. I trusted every choice he made would let him do it again!

Board Certifications
What’s a board certification and why is it important that my provider has one?

A board certification represents a provider’s dedication to ongoing training in one or more specialties, including the completion of intensive exams. While not all specialties have board certifications, if your provider does have one they’ve taken the extra step to master their specialty and to keep up with the latest advancements in their field.
