I visited Dr. Wiater at age 45 after suffering severe osteoarthritis (bone on bone in left knee) from sports injuries in the mid-70s.He indicated that a knee replacement might be in my future, but advised against going that route too early in life since the technology continued to improve. Instead he prescribed orthotics, exercises, and a knee brace for more demanding activities. I am now 70 years old and still active with my own knees.
