Dr. Smith is greatly responsible for sight NOT deteriorating! For years I have experienced high ocular pressures & was repeatedly told “we are going to watch but for now do nothing!” I saw Dr. Smith coincidentally (reg doc wasn’t there) & she reviewed my records; addressed my h/o ocular pressures & informed me I had two options: eye drops or surgery! Needless to say I chose the eye drops. All subsequent visits were with Dr. Smith; my pressures have improved significantly. Dr. Smith is caring - she took time to explain the pathology of what was occurring; she always made me feel like I was her ONLY patient - This is rare! Very Knowledgeable & she shows passion to her patients! She is no longer at JBSA Lackland however I certainly appreciate her getting my care back on track!
