Dr. Meyer & his nurses, & I've experienced several, have taken 'a long, long' time sometimes, to get to know me, initially. I came to Dr. Meyer emotionally terrified because of some things in my past & mentally apprehensive due to some road blocks that could potentially be a reason I could either get snubbed or turned away &/or just judged & labeled & not taken seriously for my pain. & my pain controls every single area in my life & I had nowhere else to turn! Dr. Meyer's nurse was the most precious, kind, empathetic nurse I've ever came in contact with! She constantly comforted me & eased my concerns & fears & sat listened for idk how long! Them came Dr. Meyer! I've always heard that pain mngmnt doctors are always so hurried cuz of their patient load! But man, Dr. Meyer sat with me for close to 45 minutes, if not more, asking me so so many questions, not to judge me, but to understand me. He asked me about my past & I was honest & so fearful, & yet he was so kind & understanding & he talked about everything with me... I was just stunned. I say all of this, so that if someone is reading this & is suffering with chronic pain but also suffers with mental health & is fearful because of a "stigma" around the world of pain management, the nurses & Dr. Meyer & Anne & other staff.... they're all just such beautiful people, truly I truly mean that! Thank you Dr. Meyer & staff for helping me achieve some form of a life & for giving me the opportunity to be a mom again & an active member of society again!!!
