Dr. Bertsch is not only a brilliant doctor but a kind, funny, compassionate and amazing human. At my first radiation consult she saw that my BP and heart rate were through the roof. She took the time to get to know me and my husband. She told us stories about her life and family. She made us LAUGH! Full on belly laughs! She explained every step of the procedure and my cancer. It did not feel like I was at a scary appointment, but rather chatting with a friend. I walked in a nervous wreck and walked out feeling empowered, confident, safe and well cared for. You can see that she truly cares for all of her patients. You are not just a statistic who comes in for medical care. She is someone who is there for your mind, body and spirit. Medicine is a vocation for Dr. Bertsch and I am so grateful that I have her to guide me on this journey.
