Dr. Jacobson has been my psychiatrist for over 10 years. I’ve referred 3 people to him who are also patients now. His motto is “remember, I work for you.” He’s careful about prescribing benzos and he’s not a “pill mill” so don’t come to him expecting to get whatever meds you ask for. Office staff is always friendly and accommodating. He does most appointments over the phone now so the in office wait time is non-existent. He is easy to talk to, doesn’t seem to rush me out and remembers and asks about my family. I’ll be sad when he retires; it’s not easy to find someone who is certified to prescribe the medication I need but also someone who doesn’t talk down to me and make me feel like I am not worthy of help. I’ve never had a negative experience like some of the other reviewers have detailed in the comments. He only practices in his Dallas office now; I’d advise to give this office a try.
