My grandfather had his first surgery ever with Dr Burns. She replaced one shoulder and then years later replaced the other shoulder. He was in his early 80's with the first shoulder and I was nervous for him. After meeting Dr Burns and reviewing the risks and benefits, I felt completely at ease. He was so happy to find her working at the VA when he needed his other shoulder done. Dr Burns is an excellent surgeon, kind human, and obviously loves what she does. She also thrilled grandpa and the rest of our family by attending his 90th birthday celebration.
