I had fallen in July and injured my ankle. I was seen in the ER with X-rays in July and then saw my regular doctor in August who also took X-rays. I was referred to an orthopedic doctor. They took another set of X-rays, she twisted my ankle around and told me she could tell nothing was torn because of how it felt to her. She said it was just a bad sprain and would just hurt and swell for up to a year. Fast forward to November when my ankle was still extremely swollen and painful. I finally went to Dr. Eric Reese. He took one look at my ankle and said there was no way it should still be this swollen and painful this many months out and asked if anyone had done a MRI, which they hadn't. MRI revealed I had torn tendons. I was so thankful that he listened to me when I said it just didn't feel right. He performed surgery and I am on the road to recovery. Very thankful for Dr. Reese.
