Dr. Bell performed a partial laryngectomy to remove my vocal cord cancer. She chose the least invasive intervention possible to remove all the cancer. The surgery was successful, and preserved as much of my voice and lifestyle as possible. I did not have to leave the hospital with a tracheostomy or feeding tube. 3 months after surgery I was able to resume mountain climbing. I climbed three 14,000-foot peaks June 13, 14, and 15. The professionalism and care of Dr. Bell and her team have allowed me to get my life back! I amd so grateful to them, and the staff at Buffet Cancer Hospital.
