Dr. Horvath's selfless decision to re-join the military later in life tells me that he went into the medical field for all the right reasons. I read a review in the Wall St Journal of Dr. Horvath's autobiographical account of his service in Iraq from 2004 to 2014. Included diagnosing a ruptured spleen in a young soldier who was promptly medevacked to the US. Both soldier's mother and soldier were able to thank the good doctor years later, thanks to a chance encounter at a US airport where the mother worked as a desk agent. Book is titled "Good Medicine, Hard Times."
