My mother needed a liver specialist for autoimmune hepatitis. She was 95 at the time of her diagnosis. Dr. Haleouga DeMarzio was highly recommended. She was kind and compassionate and spoke to my mother in simple terms. She was not aggressive in her treatment plan and sensitive to what my mother would tolerate. My mother was treated with medications and her progress was evaluated with labwork and tele-visits. Fifteen months later and my mom is healthy. From the start Dr DeMarzio told us if we needed anything or had any questions we should email her. Of course we have had many communications in the span of my mom’s treatment. I am so impressed with how quickly Dr Halegoua DeMarzio replies, sometimes it is a couple of hours. I hope I never need to see her personally but it is nice to know she is here in Philadelphia. I highly recommend her to anyone who is in need of her specialized care.
