Doctor Koons is a thorough and compassionate professional. I have worked with Doctor Koons professionally as a Registered Nurse in Neuro Step-Down units and in ICU environments, since 1993. I became his patient secondary to a crushed spine injury, in 2005. He is always open to discussions about innovative treatment strategies, and his care is definitely patient centered...that is, he will listen to you. This is a rare quality these days.
