I am 13 years post op aortic dissection repair. Dr Martino, performed a thoracotomy and descending aorta repair following my dissection at the age of 55. It was a tough recovery period but I believe his choice of doing the open repair was a good one. At the time he was at the Baptist Hospital in Little Rock Arkansas but I see he is now at the Cleveland Clinic. You are blessed in that area to have such a wonderful surgeon.
