Dr. Asudani treated my mother at UCSD hospital (Hillcrest) back in 2008. I never had the opportunity to thank him for treating her. He and his colleagues thoroughly explained her situation and the demise of her condition. I can imagine that this (message to families) occurs quite often, but it didn't feel that way. I could feel how pained they were in being the bearer of bad news and they took the time to listen and treated her and us with the utmost dignity. I was touched by their manner of care and more importantly, the delivery of treatment provided to my mother to alleviate her pain as well as allay our concerns. He's the epitome of how a great doctor and one you would hope for to care for you in the hospital.
