I will always be grateful to Dr. Hanssen. Her willingness to address my husband's condition honestly and to suggest that his time was probably very limited (she said possibly 3 months) made his passing a bit easier on me than it otherwise would have been. He made it to our 46th anniversary and passed 4 days later. It was 2 months and 9 days after that prognosis. Because of her I was prepared and had used the little time we had to repeatedly remind him what a wonderful life we had shared, to thank him and to promise our love for eternity.
