I was a VBA2C attempt and had a rupture taking place after another doctor instructed interns to apply pressure on my uterus, then left me for 4 hours in the bed ruptured because they didn’t believe my pain. Dr. Martinez performed the surgery that saved my life. She is amazing and deserves so much credit for me being alive right now. After I was discharged I had to be readmitted for postpartum severe preeclampsia and she also went above and beyond for me then even though her “job” was done a few days prior. She was simply an on-call OB and didn’t have to follow up with me if she didn’t wish to. She helped me get approval for my baby and husband to come back with me so I wasn’t stuck in the hospital alone with a breastfed newborn at home with my husband (covid rules). She seriously goes above and beyond for her patients. I am eternally grateful for her.
