About Me

Care Philosophy
  • In walking with my Father through heart disease and cancer treatments and my Mother through a recent motor vehicle collision, I was reminded just how important both empathy/understanding and surgical skill are in our physicians.  My goal is to listen and understand my patients and provide the highest level of medical and surgical treatments.

My grandfather used to say, ``there's a way to do it better, find it.``   I studied biomedical engineering in undergraduate studies with a desire to learn problem solving.  I had the privilege of working on a ``discovery team`` to engineer new medical devices at Cook Medical, Inc prior to starting medical school.  During my Robotic and laparoscopic training I took extra classes and obtained a Masters degree in Clinical Research to be better equipped as a surgeon researcher.  My goal is to never stop looking for better ways to diagnose and treat urologic problems.

Board Certifications
What’s a board certification and why is it important that my provider has one?

A board certification represents a provider’s dedication to ongoing training in one or more specialties, including the completion of intensive exams. While not all specialties have board certifications, if your provider does have one they’ve taken the extra step to master their specialty and to keep up with the latest advancements in their field.
