Dr. Christian Nielsen was a great athlete on our swim team. Christian married the beautiful daughter of a man that had a lot of positive influence on me. I was an adrenaline junkie that got high on skydiving, aerial freestyle skiing, high altitude mountaineering, etc. These adrenaline activities caused needed surgeries & I got addicted to opiates. I later landed on the streets as a homeless full time addict, in & out of jail 15 times. I had a terrible accident that knocked out my teeth & gave me a titanium jaw that was wired shut. Christian & his father-in-law rescued me from the streets and helped me into recovery. Several surgeries & many implants later Christian worked around the titanium jaw creating what became a new mouth for me. Christian's incredible expertise gave me back something I can never repay him for; a smile! Greater than Christian's surgical skill is his willingness to help those in need!
